"Yeladim Shelanu" (Our Children) Foundation is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to the children hospitalized at S.C.M.C.I. The 450 members of the Foundation take part in a wide variety of activities to help the children and their families. The Foundation was established by Mrs. Helen Schneider (ז"ל) who along with her husband, Mr. Irving Schneider, founded this unique medical center. The main goal of the "Yeladim Shelanu" is to support the children during their hospitalization. We purchase equipment for the departments, the educational team and the playrooms in each department. Foundation activities include: Establishment of units and special projects. Purchasing of equipment. Assisting the medical, nursing and teaching staffs. Supporting the children and granting of their wishes. Giving toys to new patients and surprises before operations and treatments. Sponsoring birthday parties and holiday celebrations to cheer up the children.
